Frequently Asked Questions About CO Gives Day 2019
What is Chaffee County Community Foundation?
A community foundation is a public, nonprofit organization established to promote and facilitate philanthropy in a specific geographic area. These tax-exempt charities are created by and for the people in a local area.
We believe the Chaffee County Community Foundation (CCCF) will increase overall local philanthropy, support over 100 existing local nonprofit organizations by connecting donors to community needs, build permanent charitable funds, and continue to engage residents to solve community problems.
CCCF will do this by helping individuals, families, and businesses establish charitable funds to which they may contribute a variety of assets. Grants will be made from these funds to nonprofit organizations in order to meet the charitable goals of the donor. Donors and their families may be actively involved in the selection of the nonprofit groups. Learn more here.

Unfortunately, only a handful of Chaffee County nonprofits participated.
